Autocare 2025 fast approaching!
- PostedPublished 6 June 2025
With just weeks to go until Autocare 2025, Australia’s largest education-led automotive convention is shaping up to deliver huge value for professionals across the aftermarket sector.
The two-day event, running 20-21 June at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, promises to tackle the industry’s most pressing challenges head-on, such as electrification and AI integration, workforce shortages and evolving customer expectations.

The VASA board is looking forward to engaging with members at the VASA trade show exhibit, positioned near the front of the hall on stand 1A.
The opening keynote panel on Friday 20 June sets an ambitious tone, bringing together heavyweight industry leaders including Rob Cameron (CEO, GPC Asia Pacific), Graeme Whickman (CEO, Amotiv), Benjamin Ward (Managing Director, Supercheap Auto), Rod Camm (CEO, MTA Queensland), and Stuart Charity (CEO, AAAA) to explore what success looks like for the aftermarket five years from now.

“This incredible session will set the tone for the entire Autocare experience,” said Mr Charity. “It’s a high-level conversation about the future – not just about trends, but about leadership, ambition and what kind of aftermarket we want to build together.”
The comprehensive Workshop Management Program addresses critical business challenges including staffing strategies, AI implementation, marketing effectiveness, and the sustainability of the ‘all makes and models’ repair model. The program is designed specifically for business owners and managers, offering actionable strategies to improve profitability, streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and build high-performing teams. These sessions are grounded in real-world experience and focused on long-term workshop success.

Meanwhile, the Technical Training Program delivers hands-on learning in diagnostics, EV servicing, ADAS calibration, and J2534 programming. Delivered by leading Australian and international trainers, these sessions equip technicians and apprentices with the latest techniques, tools, and insights needed to stay ahead in a fast-changing industry. Additional technical topics include emission control systems, oscilloscope essentials, and accurate AC diagnosis.
Due to overwhelming demand, two exclusive pre-event sessions have been added on Thursday 19 June, featuring renowned U.S. experts Brandon Steckler and Keith Perkins. Steckler’s eight-hour deep dive into ignition waveform analysis and Perkins’ six-hour ADAS calibration and troubleshooting masterclass are expected to sell out quickly.

Aside from VASA’s exhibit on stand 1A, the free-to-attend Autocare tradeshow will feature more than 120 exhibitors showcasing the latest tools, technology and services, with live demonstrations throughout both days. Trade show visitors can catch the action on the Product Showcase Stage, where tools, equipment, and services are brought to life through engaging demonstrations that offer practical insights and real ideas to help improve workshop efficiency and performance.
Alongside the Product Showcase Stage, teams of apprentices from independent workshops will race against the clock to complete hands-on mechanical challenges in the Flying Spanners Competition – a fast-paced celebration of emerging talent in the industry.

Trade Show attendees are also invited to the Autocare Networking Happy Hour on Friday afternoon – a relaxed chance to connect with peers, suppliers and partners, share ideas, and strengthen business and career opportunities.
In parallel with Autocare will be the National Light Vehicle Modifications Summit, a bi-annual forum dedicated to exploring the future of vehicle modifications in Australia that brings regulators and industry stakeholders together to address challenges and help shape a modern, fit-for-purpose regulatory framework.

Registration remains open at www.autocare.org.au, though premium training sessions are filling fast as the event approaches. Register now for your free trade show pass, or purchase tickets for the training programs.
