Automotive workers not affected by Sunday penalty rates cut

THE Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association’s Employer Assist service advises that the Fair Work Commission’s decision to reduce Sunday and Public Holiday penalty rates for hospitality and retail workers does not apply to the Vehicle Manufacturing Repair Services and Retail Award 2010 that covers our industry.

Penalty rate cuts apply to the following awards:

• Fast Food Industry Award 2010
• General Retail Industry Award 2010
• Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010
• Pharmacy Industry Award 2010
• Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2010
• Restaurant Industry Award 2010
