Changes to the RRA board of directors

Refrigerant Reclaim Australia (RRA) recently underwent a significant leadership transition, with John McCormack stepping down as chair and Kevin O’Shea resigning from the position of secretary and treasurer.

Their combined efforts have significantly advanced RRA’s goal of reducing emissions in the HVAC sector and promoting environmental stewardship within the refrigerant industry. 

Expressing gratitude for their longstanding contributions, the RRA board of directors commended Mr McCormack and Mr O’Shea for their dedication and vision over the past two decades.

Mr McCormack, with extensive experience in the refrigeration and technology sectors, highlighted the commitment of the board in supporting RRA’s mission.

He remarked: “It has been a privilege to observe the industry’s unified support for RRA and to see every director who has joined our board demonstrate a profound commitment to our mission, driven by a deep-seated belief in our cause.”

Kevin O’Shea

Recognised for his significant service to the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry, Mr O’Shea said: “It has been a pleasure to work with the RRA board of directors, and I am looking forward to focusing on RRA’s future connection with the education sector to ensure fit for purpose, focusing on our young apprentices.”  

The RRA board elected Greg Brooker, who serves as the Australia and New Zealand Refrigerant Specialist for Actrol, as the new chair.

Paul Campbell

“I am honoured to take on the role of board chair and look forward to contributing to RRA’s continued success in promoting environmental sustainability,” said Mr Brooker. 

Additionally, Paul Campbell, with 34 years of leadership experience at Beijer Ref Group, assumed the position of secretary and treasurer, leveraging his extensive financial expertise to support RRA’s operations.
