International experts, industry insights at Autocare 2025 in Brisbane

Australia’s largest automotive training event, Autocare 2025, promises to again be a transformative experience for technicians, workshop owners and industry professionals – and VASA will again be exhibiting at the trade show.

Hosted by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), the event will take place on 20-21 June 2025 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC).

This year’s event shaping up to feature an exceptional line-up of world-renowned trainers, including US-based experts Brandon Steckler, Keith Perkins, and Tomi Oliva alongside some of Australia’s leading technical trainers to deliver unparalleled insights into advanced diagnostics, EV and hybrid developments, and cutting-edge vehicle service strategies.

Steckler, a returning favourite and Technical Editor of Motor Age, will tackle GDI driveability concerns and scan tool data interpretation. Perkins will delve into diagnostics techniques, J2534 programming, and network failure diagnostics, while Oliva will focus on programming vehicles from Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, and others.

AAAA CEO Stuart Charity described Autocare 2025 as “the only event where you can learn from three highly regarded US trainers alongside Australia’s best, under one roof”.

“It’s a unique opportunity for technicians to supercharge their careers,” he said.

Far from being just for techicians, Autocare 2025’s business management program will cater to workshop owners and managers, offering strategies to future-proof businesses, improve profitability and address evolving industry trends.

Complementing the training sessions, the trade show will featurr more than 120 exhibitors – includiing a VASA exhibit staffed by board members – showcasing the latest products and technologies. Visitors can participate in live demonstrations and interactive displays, while the networking event on the show floor offers an informal setting to connect with peers and industry leaders.

The return of the National Light Vehicle Modifications Summit also reinforces Autocare’s role as a critical industry forum. Bringing together aftermarket leaders, manufacturers, and regulators, the summit will tackle pressing issues surrounding national vehicle standards and compliance, ensuring innovation and sustainability remain at the forefront.

With feedback from the 2023 event overwhelmingly positive, the AAAA aims to deliver an even more impactful experience this year.

“Autocare 2025 is the best investment for technicians and workshop owners looking to grow their skills and businesses,” said Charity.

“With mandatory data sharing and access to OEM information shaping the future, the training on offer will prepare attendees for what lies ahead.”
