October session announced: Accredited auto-AC training with CoolDrive and TAFE NSW

Due to popular demand, CoolDrive Auto Parts and TAFE NSW have scheduled an additional two-day automotive air-conditioning training course for October 3-4, 2025, following the success of their August program.

It is the last opportunity to partake in this training in 2025.

The accredited course at CoolDrive’s Yatala facility provides automotive professionals with the certification pathway to obtain an ARCtick refrigerant handling licence.

Building on strong interest from the automotive sector, this October session maintains the same comprehensive curriculum covering diagnostic skills, repair techniques and routine servicing for modern auto-AC systems.

The course delivers two essential units: AURETU104 (Diagnose and repair air conditioning and HVAC components) and AURETU103 (Service air conditioning and HVAC systems).

Entry requirements remain unchanged – participants must hold credentials such as AUR30320 (Auto Electrical), AUR30620 (Auto Mechanical), or AUR31120 (Heavy Automotive).

Attendees need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before enrolment and must secure an ARCtick Trainee Licence (CL000) for legal refrigerant handling during training.

Five prerequisite online modules through TAFE NSW must be completed before attending, covering fundamental air-conditioning concepts through to servicing procedures.

The hands-on program includes servicing modern air-conditioning systems, diagnostic procedures, refrigerant recovery and pressure diagnosis techniques.

Running 8am to 4pm over two consecutive days with groups capped at 14 participants. The $989 + GST fee includes lunch and refreshments.

To secure a place in the October session, contact training@cooldrive.com.au quoting part number CDAP-AC-TRAIN.

Training will take place at 9/13 Dixon Street, Yatala QLD 4207.
