Queensland’s Auto Women initiative expands nationally
- PostedPublished 7 December 2025
The Queensland-founded Auto Women initiative is expanding into a nationwide movement with plans for new events, resources and partnerships across multiple states and territories.
Founded in 2022, the program has grown into a community of women representing diverse roles across the automotive sector – including technicians, service advisors, apprentices, business owners, administration staff and motorsport professionals.

The national rollout will broaden access to networking events, training and development opportunities for women throughout the country.
Auto Women co-founder Kellie Dewar described the expansion as “more than growth – it’s momentum”.

“We’ve seen firsthand the impact that community and visibility can have on confidence and career pathways. By expanding nationally, we are ensuring women in every region have access to the opportunities and resources that our Queensland community has benefited from,” she said.
“This movement is powered by women empowering each other – and by the many allies, mentors and industry partners who believe in the future we are building,” she said.

“The national expansion reflects the demand, the momentum and the incredible impact of women in automotive across Australia.”
As Auto Women expands, the initiative plans to strengthen its industry partnerships to support early-career development, mentorship and leadership pathways.
