Why hydrocarbon refrigerants do not suit a vehicle air conditioning system

One of the main documents used regularly in our briefings about the use of flammables in systems not designed for them is the VASA White Paper.

It is a very accurate collection of the documented evidence submitted by car makers, legislators, suppliers, engineering associations, kindred networks and many others, which combined, paint a compelling picture of the need for care in dealing with hydrocarbon (HC) as a refrigerant.

This document is very important, especially in the current climate, where unprofessional workshops are turning to HC refrigerant because it offers a cheaper alternative to the increased price of R134a.
