Code of Practice 2025 Review

VASA is working with the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water to overhaul the nation’s 17-year-old automotive air-conditioning code of practice.

The public and industry consultation window for the updated draft of The Australian Automotive Code of Practice closed on 31 December 2025.

Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback, suggestions and comments. Your valuable contributions have been recorded and provided to the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for consideration as we work towards completion of the updated code, which is expected in March 2026.
