Last 2020 Women’s Leadership Development Scholarships Now Available

Grants of up to $5000 are currently available to women working in the Australian automotive sector to support their participation in one of three professional development programs.

The grants have been provisioned for use by women right across the country, with a specific focus on the automotive sector, but must be allocated by the end of 2020. The programs are suitable for junior managers right through to executive level women.

The scholarships were originally meant to be allocated in March and April, and are a small unapportioned pool from last year’s Elevate initiative; however things got significantly delayed and disrupted due to COVID-19. This residual funding now needs to be awarded by the end of 2020.

The initiative is providing women with grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to enable participation in one of three programs that cover such things as elements of a successful team, communication, presence and influence, driving performance, problem solving and decision making, and progressing diversity and inclusion.

The scholarship funding is provided with the specific intent of providing powerful and effective development opportunities for automotive sector women but has to be allocated by the end of 2020.
