New Aftermarket Expo date dodges F1 GP

The date of the 2024 Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo and Collision Repair Expo has changed due to a clash with the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Originally planned for March, the event will now take place from April 11 to April 13, 2024, at the usual Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre venue.

Changing the date in response to the recently released 2024 Formula 1 calendar, Expo organiser, the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), said it recognised the potential negative impact on visitor numbers, increased costs for exhibitors and attendees, and complications for companies involved in both events.

AAAA CEO Stuart Charity emphasised the importance of ensuring the Expo receives the full attention and participation of the automotive industry. The new April dates aim to provide exhibitors, sponsors, and trade visitors with a successful and valuable experience.

Being the sole comprehensive exhibition for Australia’s $25 billion aftermarket industry, the combined Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo and Collision Repair Expo are expected to attract around 9000 trade visitors. The newest tools, technologies, parts, and accessories for auto repair and servicing will be on display from more than 400 brands.

Attendees can anticipate dedicated training programs led by industry experts, the prestigious Australian Auto Aftermarket Awards banquet, networking opportunities, a vehicle display area, and interactive exhibits. For everybody working in the sector, this three-day event promises to be a must-attend experience.

Further details, including new additions to the Expo for mat, as well as registration information, will be announced in due course. In the meantime, mark your calendar for April 11-13, 2024.
