Over the past few years, getting staff in any sector of employment has become increasingly difficult. The skills shortage in the automotive repair sector has fared no better with little to no improvement in recent times. Workshops have great difficulty finding staff to fill vacancies in their businesses.

Just filling positions due to attrition is difficult enough without considering those created due to expansion and growth. A strong push to promote university education as a preferred pathway to a career which commenced well over a decade ago has been one of the causes for a steady decline in the number of people taking up trades.
