Redarc to sponsor biannual VASA Industry High Achiever Award, worth $25,000 over 10 years

A surprise announcement at Wire & Gas 2022 was that Redarc Electronics will sponsor the VASA Industry High Achiever Award at every Wire & Gas for 10 years, the winner recognised with a prize pack of Redarc products valued at $5000 as well as the usual commemorative trophy.

VASA vice-president Brett Meads revealed the initiative at the Wire & Gas 2022 Gala Dinner, describing the collaboration as “all about acknowledging people who do good things”.

“Thanks to (Redarc MD) Anthony Kittel and Redarc, as of next Wire & Gas, we will have an Industry High Achiever Award with a prize to the value of $5000 worth of Redarc products,” he said.

“This in itself is absolutely mind-blowing for us as a board. So thank you. The kicker to it is, Anthony and Redarc have agreed to do that for 10 years, to the tune of $25,000.”

Wire & Gas 2024 will be the first event at which the VASA-Redarc Industry High Achiever award will be presented, with nominations opening during the lead-up to the event.

“At the next Wire & Gas, we will have a category that’s dedicated people who are really good at what they do. You guys in workshop land need to be thinking about your staff, your young guys and girls, or yourself, if you think you’re up to the task,” said Brett Meads.

“That is an award and an accolade that should be recognised. And it’s something that people with the generosity of Anthony and his team have recognised is worth putting money where their mouth is for an industry that’s doing really good things. So thank you to Redarc.”
