The 2024 VASA Wire & Gas convention has been scheduled for August 23-25 and will take place in Brisbane.

Brisbane’s bustling CBD and nearby Botanical Gardens, as well as South Bank’s pristine parklands and its famous Streets Beach lagoon, make the Queensland capital a compelling backdrop for the Australasian automotive air-conditioning, electrical and thermal management industry’s flagship event.

As the airport is located just 15km from Brisbane CBD, you can be in the heart of the city in just 20 minutes via AirTrain, taxi or rideshare.

Those seeking an injection of culture are also well served by the Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art, State Library of Queensland, Queensland Museum, and Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

Meanwhile, the weekend-long South Bank Collective Markets will satisfy souvenir-seekers and shopaholics alike, nestled among almost 15 hectares of lawns, picnic areas and playgrounds with easy access to dozens of eateries as well as iconic attractions like the Wheel of Queensland.

Wire & Gas will host the official release of Cool Mavericks, including a launch party on the Friday evening to celebrate publication of the world’s most comprehensive history book on the topic of automotive air-conditioning.

The event will also include a Gala Dinner on the Saturday evening, including prestigious Redarc and ARC award ceremonies in addition to the usual VASA awards.

Wire & Gas will finish at midday on Sunday to provide ample time for onward travel or to enjoy Brisbane.
