Wire & Gas venue confirmed, line-up firms – tickets on sale soon!

The 2024 VASA Wire & Gas convention has been scheduled for August 23-25 and will take place at The Westin Brisbane (111 Mary Street in the CBD).

Brisbane’s bustling CBD and nearby Botanical Gardens, as well as South Bank’s pristine parklands and its famous Streets Beach lagoon, make the Queensland capital a compelling backdrop for the Australasian automotive air-conditioning, electrical and thermal management industry’s flagship event.

As the airport is located just 15km from Brisbane CBD, you can be in the heart of the city in just 20 minutes via AirTrain, taxi or rideshare.

VASA is delighted to announce that Grant Hand will be among the line-up of experts at Wire & Gas 2024 in a special session where he will share his vast automotive air-conditioning knowledge and reflect on a career that has been pivotal to many working in this industry.

Musician Keegan Sparke, whose delightful performances have entertained delegates at the past two Wire & Gas events is also confirmed to provide this year’s Saturday night soundtrack.

The evening’s Gala Dinner will include prestigious Redarc and ARC award ceremonies in addition to a new VASA award category.

Michael Bennett, recently retired chair of the Australian Refrigeration Council, former general manager of Refrigerant Reclaim Australia and VASA Legend Award recipient, will bring his unique brand of wit, humour, intellect and industry knowledge to Wire & Gas 2024 as Master of Ceremonies.

Wire & Gas will host the official release of Cool Mavericks, including a launch party on the Friday evening to celebrate publication of the world’s most comprehensive history book on the topic of automotive air-conditioning.

Wire & Gas will finish at midday on Sunday to provide ample time for onward travel or to enjoy Brisbane.
