Industry asked for feedback on interstate trade license recognition
- PostedPublished 28 January 2021
Draft legislation that will enable individuals who hold an occupational licence in one Australian state or territory to do equivalent work in another Australian state or territory under the same licence, is now up for industry consultation.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 12 February 2021, which can be made at the Occupational Mobility section of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet website.
Interstate trade licenses will make it easier and less expensive for businesses and tradespeople to operate across borders. It will kick in on July 1 this year, rather than January 1 as originally announced.
